Cyclotourism: A cycling tour through Luxembourg / Meet Tour de France winner Andy Schleck

Arrival Date: 19/05/2017
Departure Date: 21/05/2017

The Grand Duchy is a paradise for cyclists. Well-maintained and accessible to all, the national cycle path network is made up of 23 tracks. Follow converted old railway lines, ride along the river banks or cycle through charming villages, far away from busy roads.

At the moment, the Grand Duchy is already home to more than 600 km of cycling routes, but in the next few years, there will be yet another 300 km to discover. Various international routes cross through Luxembourg into the neighbouring countries such as the “Veloroute SarreLorLux”, the “Vennbahn” or the “Eurovelos 5”. Topical cycling tours for instance lead through vineyards on the Moselle, past Roman ruins or panoramic plateaus.

With its well-paved and signposted roads, its green spaces and parks, the capital Luxembourg City is also a very good choice for cyclists. Throughout the country, numerous hotels, campsites and youth hostels offer bike rentals. You can participate in guided bike tours and take advantage of the cycling without luggage initiative. Currently 85 quality accommodation providers carry the “Bed & Bike” label and cater to bicycle tourists, offering adequate infrastructures and services.

The team of Luxembourg for Tourism and its partners will be honoured to welcome you and invite you to take part in this cycling tour through Luxembourg. Every day we will take on about 25 km and of course you won’t miss out on cultural visits and tourist attractions either.
