Explore Luxembourg with a tour of contemporary architecture

Edited by the Order of Architects and Consulting Engineers (Ordre des architectes et des ingénieurs conseils, OAI), the Architectour.lu guide is designed to help visitors discover Luxembourg through its architecture, engineering and urban planning. 278 projects bundled into 14 different itineraries present the country in all its beauty and architectural diversity. The five tourist regions are well-represented in the itineraries, as is the capital, and they all stand out as exceptionally creative locales when it comes to developing the built environment.

According to Pierre Hurt, director of OAI, Luxembourg is a “laboratory at the cutting edge of new concepts in sustainable construction”. Now in its third edition, the guide is a reference work for the Grand Duchy abroad, supported by texts written by established authors. The first text traces the evolution of Luxembourgish architecture. The second text highlights the Grand Duchy’s architectural talent by exploring 14 iconic projects.

The launch of the guide was timed to accompany an overhaul of the www.architectour.lu website, designed to make it easier to access on mobile devices. The website includes a number of additional projects that don’t appear in the print version.
